Our Hebrew Curriculum is built on the National Standards for Foreign Language Teaching, which identifies five core areas:

  • Communication
  • Culture
  • Connections
  • Comparisons
  • Communities

Our program provides for natural acquisition of the Hebrew language through songs, games, music, big books, interactive boards and posters using multi-sensory experiences.  Grades 3 - 6 expand their learning to enhance students' vocabulary, reading comprehension, creative writing and conversation skills through role play and Chaverim B'Ivrit, the Hebrew textbook from URJ press. Our goal is to develop a Jewish child who is literate, committed and skilled to live Jewishly.

We are very proud to be part of the Hebrew at the Center program. The mission of Hebrew at the Center is to revolutionize the effectiveness of teaching and learning Hebrew in all educational settings, which will in turn result in empowered teachers and proficient students. Learn more
