Temple Emanuel Academy Day School is proud to offer a diverse curriculum integrating the arts throughout core subjects. TEADS also utilizes the Expected Schoolwide Learning Results (ESLR) as guidance for our students educational goals. The ESLRs reflect the knowledge, proficiencies, and appreciation for education students will have upon graduation from our School.

Academic Achievement

  • Demonstrate the ability  to read and write throughout the academic curriculum

  • Develop fluency in computational skills and an understanding of mathematical concepts

  • Use technology effectively and apply mathematical, scientific and technical skills to construct knowledge

  • Apply problem solving strategies and critical thinking skills to school experiences

  • Communicate effectively through oral and written presentations as well as the arts and technology

Jewish Identity

  • Recognize, explain and demonstrate knowledge of the prayers, rituals and customs associated with Shabbat, holidays, and life cycle events

  • Demonstrate familiarity with the structure, content and choreography of the prayers and have the ability to actively participate in and lead services

  • Explain the historical and religious bond to the people of Israel, the land of Israel, and the State of Israel

  • Use Hebrew as a living language: a language of conversation, prayer and Torah

  • Identify the main Jewish values/mitzvot, be able to explain and implement them in school

Community Responsibility

  • Support and participate in the life of the synagogue, our Jewish community, the local and global community

  • Show respect and appreciation for the diverse customs and cultural background of others within the community

  • Exhibit leadership through varied schoolwide opportunities

Creative and Individual Expression

  • Demonstrate strong self-esteem through performance and other creative artistic outlets which allow the students to shine in front of others

  • Explore many avenues of self-discovery such as creative writing, visual arts, drama, computer arts, dance and music
